Avian Influenza
1. Poland reported 2 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in poultry
On May 28, Poland reported 2 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in poultry in Greater Poland Voivodeship, resulting in 29,000 poultry infected and 52 deaths.
2. The Netherlands reported 1 H5N1 HPAI outbreak in poultry and 3 in wild birds
On May 26 and 28, the Netherlands reported 1 outbreak in poultry and 3 in wild birds of H5N1 HPAI in Friesland Province and 2 other locations, resulting in 90 poultry infected and 77,000 culled, and 8 wild birds infected and died.
3. France reported 1 H5N1 HPAI outbreak in wild birds
On May 26, France reported 1 outbreak of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Haute-Garonne, resulting in 10 wild birds and backyard poultry infected and died, and 245 culled.
4. Norway reported 1 H5N1 HPAI outbreak in wild birds
On May 27, Norway reported 1 outbreak of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Nordland County, resulting in 1 wild bird infected and died.
5. Finland reported 6 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds
On May 28 and 29, Finland reported 6 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Uusimaa and one other location, resulting in 6 wild birds infected and died.
6. Spain reported 1 H5N1 HPAI outbreak in wild birds
On May 29, Spain reported 1 outbreak of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Galicia, resulting in 1 wild bird infected and died.
7. Canada reported 3 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in poultry
On May 28, Canada reported 3 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in poultry in Alberta and one other location, resulting in 4,871 poultry infected and died, and 36,000 culled.
8. Japan reported 66 H5N1, 26 H5 and 1 H5N5 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds
On May 27, Japan reported 66 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI, 26 outbreaks of H5 HPAI and 1 outbreak of H5N5 HPAI in wild birds in Hokkaido Prefecture and 3 other locations, resulting in 96 wild birds infected and died.
9. Nepal reported 12 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in poultry
On May 29, Nepal reported 12 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in poultry in Bagmati Province and 2 other locations, resulting in 12,000 poultry infected and died, and 32,000 culled.

On May 28, Poland reported 1 outbreak of Newcastle disease in Lubusz Voivodeship, resulting in 38,000 poultry infected and 1,206 deaths.
2. Moldova reported 1 rabies outbreak
On May 28, Moldova reported 1 outbreak of rabies in Rîșcani District, resulting in 7 cattle infected and 1 death.
3. Italy reported 1 rabies outbreak
On May 29, Italy reported 1 outbreak of rabies in Veneto, resulting in 1 domestic dog infected and culled.
4. Mongolia reported 1 contagious caprine pleuropneumonia outbreak
On May 29, Mongolia reported 1 outbreak of contagious caprine pleuropneumonia in Dornogovi Province, resulting in 129 goats infected and 732 culled.
5. Greece reported 3 sheep pox outbreaks
On May 29, Greece reported 3 outbreaks of sheep pox in Aetolia-Acarnania and one other location, resulting in an unspecified number of sheep and goats infected.
6. Austria reported 2 bovine tuberculosis outbreaks
On May 29, Austria reported 2 outbreaks of bovine tuberculosis in Vorarlberg, resulting in 9 cattle infected, 1 death, and 32 culled.
7. Italy reported 1 lumpy skin disease outbreak
On May 29, Italy reported 1 outbreak of lumpy skin disease in Sardinia, resulting in 1 cattle infected and 13 culled.
8. Latvia reported 1 avian chlamydiosis outbreak
On May 29, Latvia reported 1 outbreak of avian chlamydiosis in Krāslava District, resulting in 2 domestic parrots infected and 1 death.

On May 29, Mexico reported 1 outbreak of New World screwworm in Mexico City, resulting in 1 domestic dog infected.
10. Botswana reported 2 SAT1 FMD outbreaks
On May 26, Botswana reported 2 outbreaks of SAT1 foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) in South-East District and one other location, resulting in 6 cattle infected.
11. Eswatini reported 2 SAT1 FMD outbreaks
On May 26, Eswatini reported 2 outbreaks of SAT1 FMD in Hhohho Region, resulting in 118 cattle infected.
12. Lesotho reported 3 SAT1 FMD outbreaks
On May 29, Lesotho reported 3 outbreaks of SAT1 FMD in Leribe District and 2 other locations, resulting in 17 cattle infected.
13. Cyprus reported 4 SAT1 FMD outbreaks
On May 26, Cyprus reported 4 outbreaks of SAT1 FMD in Limassol District and one other location, resulting in 45 sheep infected and 5,375 culled.
14. Greece reported 12 SAT1 FMD outbreaks
On May 29, Greece reported 12 outbreaks of SAT1 FMD on the island of Lesbos, resulting in 747 goats and sheep infected and 2,425 culled.
15. Mongolia reported 1 SAT1 FMD outbreak
On May 28, Mongolia reported 1 outbreak of SAT1 FMD in Bayan-Ölgii Province, resulting in 30 cattle infected and culled.
African Swine Fever
1. Hungary reported 7 ASF outbreaks in wild boar
On May 26, Hungary reported 7 outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) in wild boar in Nógrád County and 3 other locations, resulting in 7 wild boar infected and died.
2. Estonia reported 3 ASF outbreaks in wild boar
On May 26 and 28, Estonia reported 3 outbreaks of ASF in wild boar in Jõgeva County and 2 other locations, resulting in 3 wild boar infected and died.
3. Latvia reported 11 ASF outbreaks in wild boar
On May 26, Latvia reported 11 outbreaks of ASF in wild boar in Liepāja District and one other location, resulting in 11 wild boar infected and died.
4. Serbia reported 1 ASF outbreak in wild boar and 15 in domestic pigs
On May 26, Serbia reported 1 outbreak in wild boar and 15 in domestic pigs of ASF in Kolubara District and 3 other locations, resulting in 4 wild boar infected and died, and among domestic pigs, 119 infected, 99 deaths, and 696 culled.
5. Poland reported 74 ASF outbreaks in wild boar and 1 in domestic pigs
On May 26, Poland reported 74 outbreaks in wild boar and 1 in domestic pigs of ASF in Pomeranian Voivodeship and 6 other locations, resulting in 159 wild boar infected and died, and 21,000 domestic pigs infected with 196 deaths.
6. Ukraine reported 1 ASF outbreak in domestic pigs
On May 27, Ukraine reported 1 outbreak of ASF in domestic pigs in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, resulting in 18 domestic pigs infected and died, and 10 culled.
7. Spain reported 1 ASF outbreak in wild boar
On May 28, Spain reported 1 outbreak of ASF in wild boar in Catalonia, resulting in 3 wild boar infected and died.
8. Romania reported 1 ASF outbreak in wild boar and 4 in domestic pigs
On May 29, Romania reported 1 outbreak in wild boar and 4 in domestic pigs of ASF in Maramureș County and 2 other locations, resulting in 1 wild boar infected and died, and among domestic pigs, 42 infected, 4 deaths, and 38 culled.
